Robert Moses and The Harmony Crusaders har spilt på Mono flere ganger, bl.a Musikkfest. Denne høsten går han i studio for å starte på nytt album. Men først spiller lar han publikum på Lørdagsgodt få sjekke ut materialet.
Robert Moses and the Harmony Crusaders are going into the studio to record their follow-up to their debut ‘Self-Developing Country’. This concert at Mono will feature new material that gives that audience to hear it before it is recorded later the same month. The band will record at Subsonic Society Studios with Anders Møller (Kåre and the Cavemen, Euroboys) and Spellemanns Pris nominated Torgeir Waldemar as co-producers. The album will be released in the autumn of 2016.
Since 2013 Robert Moses and the Harmony Crusaders have released three singles and one album, ‘Self-Developing Country’, on Voices of Wonder Records. The album received excellent reviews, among them a 5 in Dagbladet and a 6 from Firdaposten. It also ended up on a number of top ten lists for 2013 including one on Dagbladet. In addition, ‘Self-Developing Country’ won the award for the Best Alt. Country Album of the Year for the Independent Music Awards in the US.
The band toured through Norway in 2014 and the single Take A Look at My Heart, Today was play listed on NRK Østfold and that song plus others were played on a number of stations throughout the country in addition to appearing live on local stations during the tour.
Robert Moses, who originally comes from Chicago in the US, first met Freddy Holm (Corazon, Luke Elliot, Henning Kvitnes) from Halden and then a band was put together to highlight Robert's songs and unique voice. At an early stage Tom Skjeklesæther came on board in a managerial capacity. The band’s influences include Neil Young, Gram Parsons, The Beatles, Red Cloud, Geronimo and High Plains Native American Chants.
